Golden Globes Musings
During what I watched of the Golden Globes last night, I realized there are a bunch of movies I need to see before the Oscars get here. Capote, Transamerica and Hustle & Flow are at the top of the list but I'll see Walk the Line and Crash too, just less enthusiastically. Do I really need to see North Country or Memoirs of a Geisha? Paradise Now sounds really interesting and I'm dying to see Grizzly Man, too. I think most of the rest of the potential nominees for the Academy Awards I've seen.I was glad to see Steve Carrell win for The Office last night at the Globes - it can't touch the BBC version but this season has been very funny nonetheless. The Christmas show with the video iPod gift exchange had me laughing out loud, as did his acceptance speech last night. All the stuff Brokeback Mountain received last night was deserved. Was kinda sad that neither Good Night and Good Luck nor Syriana received much recognition except for a couple noms. If I had more time, it looks like I should be watching Grey's Anatomy and Weeds, I don't think that will happen though since I can't even keep up with the shows I actually care about.

Yup, Grey's Anatomy is another good one. It's no West Wing, mind you, but a good one nonetheless.
