CALLBACK - Malcolm in the Middle
A few hours before shooting "Captured" last Friday, I had a callback for Malcolm in the Middle at CBS Radford in the Valley. It was a really cool experience. Just walking around the CBS lot was awesome enough, but being around all that elevated energy within the Malcolm in the Middle offices blew my mind. I want to be working as an actor within an environment like that soon. Sally Stiner, the casting director, was supercool, letting me know she had seen my audition on tape the night before. She then brought me in to meet with the producers. My first read went well, and after getting some feedback from one of the producers, my second one was great. I had literally just gotten the sides five minutes before going in, as the ones that had been sent to me earlier were already outdated. It really pays to check that you have current sides when you arrive at a casting office, don'tchaknow.Well, I probably would've heard by now had I gotten the part, but meeting with Sally and the producers was awesome. Hopefully, they'll keep me in mind when another part comes along that I'm right for. And hopefully again, my agents will be pleased that I got a callback and they'll send me out on more stuff.
